Nothing About Us Without Us: Youth Leading the Future of Social and Behavior Change

Session Information

This session highlights how young people are already shaping the future of social and behavior change through advocacy, community engagement, storytelling, innovation, public health, climate action, and social justice. The discussion challenges traditional assumptions that youth leadership is something to be developed in the future and instead demonstrates that young leaders are already driving change within communities, organizations, institutions, and social movements around the world. The session is designed to be highly participatory and youth-centered, with discussion informed by questions submitted by youth participants in advance of the Summit.

The session seeks to:

  • Showcase examples of youth leadership in action
  • Explore barriers to meaningful youth participation and decision-making
  • Highlight innovation, creativity, and digital engagement
  • Promote inclusion, equity, and representation
  • Create opportunities for peer learning and exchange
  • Generate practical recommendations for institutions and organizations

Panelists:

  • Diego Díaz, Co-Founder, Istmo Co.
  • Luis Carles, Juventud Agro
  • Lee Anne Zipagan, Creative Lead, Melon Rouge Agency
